The Advantages of Choosing a Combi Boiler

We’re taking a swift look at the advantages of combi boilers. If you’re about to choose a new boiler for installation, there’s much to recommend the combi type. This type of boiler is also known as a ‘combination boiler’ or ‘combi boiler’ and they’ve become extremely popular over the last few years.

Efficiency and service.

Combi boilers are very efficient and provide hot water as well as central heating, in the same way as other types of boilers do. This means they don’t need a separate water tank and because they combine both heat and water in the same tank they’re really convenient and provide a better standard of service.

Different strokes for different folks.

If you have a small house or flat, a combination boiler is perfect and there’s a variety of different types you can invest in. There’s oil-fired, LPG or gas. Knowing what the advantages are of combi boilers mean you’re more informed on what you’re likely to get if you invest in one, and forewarned is forearmed as they say.

Saving money and space.

One of the many benefits is that they’re efficient and because of this they can help you save money on your heating bills each year. They’re much cheaper to run and installation is cheaper than the more traditional models, replacements are also easier to come by should anything stop working. They work much faster because they don’t have a ‘tank’ to heat up so hot water is as and when you need it. They’re much more compact and take up much less room than bigger boilers, so if live in a smallish property then a combi boiler is ideal.

Combi boilers are also extremely safe.

The water is safe to drink from the boiler because it comes from the mains. More traditional boilers will store water for a while before it goes through the pipe system throughout the house.

Thinking of selling?

If you’re thinking selling your home in the near future, you’ll find that a convenient, combi boiler in full working order is a great selling point. It will show up on the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) on an estate agent’s website and this could work to your advantage. Pressure issues are rare as is sludge, because combi boilers use water from the mains and doesn’t store it in a water tank where it will collect rust and dirt. Another great selling point is that a combi boiler is much easier to service than most traditional boilers.
